Hello there! Today I wanted to share a fun little project you can do with my printable valentines. We dressed them up with some glitter and mounted them on cute paper. The cards are available for instant download in the Sweet Liberty shop. It is super simple and fun, my three year old joined right in!
1. Gather Supplies
For this project we used scissors, glue, glitter (I really love Martha Stewart's Glitter!), your valentines cut out, a fine tipped brush, and paper plates.
2. Glue
With your brush sufficiently slathered in glue, fill in parts of the drawing that you want to glitter, or just do your own thing, add dots, glitter the entire thing, have fun!
3. Glitter
Just dump some glitter over your glue spots, you already knew that didn't you? Either way this is the fun part where you will probably inhale some glitter, get some stuck to your face (it will be there for three days), and spill it on your jeans so you walk around in glitter pants for the rest of the day leaving a trail of sparkle everywhere you go. This is also the part where your toddler grabs the glitter from you and does his own little freestyle glitter art all over your house.
**This is where the paper plates come in, it you manage to keep the glittering over the plate it is easy to make a little crease in the plate and gently funnel everything back into the original container, until next time!**
4. Mount on Paper & Cut Out
Last thing, if you're still up for it, glue your valentine to some cute scrapbooking paper (again we used Martha Stewart's) and cut around the outside to create a border. Get fancy, or just a simple border, either way it look super cute!
See my little helper in the background there! He had a great time, check out some of our creations. My personal favorite was glittering over the donut sprinkles...
Please let me know if you give it a try, I would love to see how yours turn out!
